Aveda Cut-A-Thon: A Cut to Save the Orchids!

70 SMU students and staff had the best hair day ever on 7th and 8th May, as they enjoyed great haircuts by the Aveda professional stylist while saving native orchids!

As part of Aveda’s signature annual Earth Month campaign, the brand held a 24-hour Global Cut-A-Thon raising funds through haircuts to support orchid conservation efforts. Stylists from over 15 Aveda salons in Singapore volunteered their time and expertise to create perfect haircut in exchange for a donation of SGD $15. In return, Aveda contributed to a dollar-for-dollar match for the donations raised through this public fundraiser. 100% of the proceeds went to the Orchid Conservation Fund under the Garden City Fund to support the conservation of Singapore’s native orchids.
